WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A MENTAL HEALTH CARE PLAN AND REFERRAL?
We always recommend getting a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and referral as it enables clients to access Medicare rebates for psychology sessions. However, if you do not have a MHCP you are considered a private client and will pay the same fee with no rebate.
DO WE BULK BILL?
Unfortunately, we do not currently bulk bill for clinical psychology sessions.
HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
Each session will run for at least 50 minutes. This ensures our practitioners have enough time to take notes and continue to develop a plan for you. This session time is also supported by the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS)
WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE MY INITIAL APPOINTMENT?
Before your appointment, it is generally recommended that you receive a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP. This will enable you to access the Medicare rebate for psychology sessions. Once you have received your MHTP, ask your GP to send it to us via email or bring it to your first session so we can add it to your file.

On the day of your appointment it is requested that you come in 10 minutes prior to fill out relevant information ready for your first session.
CAN I GET A REBATE OF COUNSELLING SESSIONS
Currently the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) does not cover counselling sessions.
HOW DO I RECEIVE MY MEDICARE REBATE?
There are 3 options to receive your medicare rebate.

1. Admin staff will process a 'patient claim' to Medicare. From there you will receive your rebate pending Medicare ( usually 2-3 business days)

2. Our Admin team can print/email you a paid invoice for you to use on your myGov or Medicare app for you to process

3. In face-to-face sessions we can process the Medicare rebate on our terminal. A bank card with a savings option is required.
